June 13, 2008

Twitter Wh_o_re (not Pron) Lisa Nova

I love this video Twitter Wh_o_re by Lisa Nova. She does a fantastic job of sharing the addicting nature of Twitter!

Tonight Coach Deb and Warren Whitlock did a STELLAR job of delivering a great FREE WEBINAR on Twitter. They have collaborated on a tremendous resource called the Twitter Handbook filled with resources, how-to's and tremendous connections.

If you've ever wondered how to use Twitter and what it's all about you'll find it here.

If you are using Twitter - even an advanced user - you'll find this site extremely helpful for refining your time and efforts and not stepping on any toes accidentally.

How to Start Reading Blogs

By Brad Shorr | May 26, 2008

Cartoons by Word Sell

When I speak to small and medium size business audiences on business
blogs, there are usually a fair number of people who have never read a
business blog. Truth be told, reading blogs is the best way to
understand them, and taking a thoughtful survey of the blogosphere is
the first step in determining whether a blog is right for your
business. So, if you want to start reading business blogs, here’s what
you do.

Donna Fox - Calling All Female Internet Marketers

Donna Fox Internet Marketing SpeakerIt happened again. I received yet another link to yet another sales page with yet another lineup of all male marketers.

This wasn’t the bad part. When I said something about it on a public form (yes, I can be vocal) I received back a response (not from the website owner) that there just aren’t any female speakers on internet marketing topics.

What? Are you living under a rock? I did a quick brainstorm and came up with 26 well known women who teach marketing topics, all of whom I know personally. This list is the result of a total of three minutes of brainpower.

HerProBlog.COM - Update and Introduction

As you may have already noticed, I haven’t been posting very much on iwebis. This is largely due to the fact that I have been very busy working on my new project - HerProBlog.COM. I am very excited about the progress being made. I would have liked to launch the site last month but things took a bit longer than expected. It’s very important that all things are in place before launch so I am determined not to launch until everything is ready.

I am not the only one that has been working very hard on this project. Several months ago I asked a friend to join in this venture. After reading a blog post on the importance of outsourcing I realized that I had to bring in help for this project. It’s been great working with this person so far and I know she will continue to be a very useful resource.

Embroidery, T-Shirts, Signs, and More

Our purpose here is to provide information on Embroidery and much more. We don't quite know how to describe all the things we're involved with.

There are so many different kinds and colors of T-shirts, and also manufacturers. Then we can talk about how to embellish one. Vinyl Heat Transfers provide a crisp, clean look for Teams and other places where visibility is key. Heat Transfer of dye sublimation print is great on light colors, but not so wonderful for darks or black. But the world isn't ready for everyone in a T-shirt, business casual rules the day. When we go casual, polos and golf shirts come to mind. Again, name brands provide style and comfort, Nike and Tiger Woods golf shirts represent the winning image. Of course, embroidery allows for that personalization, to bolster the corporate image.

Monogramming is also a traditional way of establishing an identity. Linens, towels, napkins, etc. make great gifts for anyone, especially newly weds. And we all know what comes after Love and Marriage, yes the baby. Our European line of Baby Toys, Dolls and Accessories, is perfect from infant through teething and on.

Every business needs signs and there a limitless locations where signage establishes a company's presence. Some signs provide direction, making a business more easily found. Whether produced in our own shop or through one of our suppliers, signs point the way.

In coming posts, we'll explore more embroidery, heat transfer uses, and ways that you can,
